In Memoriam: A Tribute to Ed Fairchild
Some people come into our lives and leave footprints on our hearts and we are never ever the same
— Flavia Weedn

Old friends, heroes, lifetimes. It all goes by so quickly and with the blink of an eye, everything can change.

On January 31, 2016 our dear friend and brother within the Widespread Panic community, Ed Fairchild passed away unexpectedly. For those who knew Ed, he was a warm and generous soul and could disarm anyone with his smile. He was a longtime fixture within the WSP scene and beloved those who crossed his path. I recall staying with Ed when he lived in Austin, Texas and spending hours sharing stories from the road while scanning in dozens of photos of the band for this project. Whenever he'd visit Florida for Hannah's Buddies he donned his favorite golf attire and we would enjoy bloody marys and BBQ in the morning for breakfast.

Ed, we miss you but know you are enjoying the most divine concert in the heavens with a spot right in front of Mikey. Please enjoy these photos he contributed and took of the band in his honor.  Never let a single memory fade.
